AI receptionist for hair and beauty salons: 9 options
There is no single best AI receptionist for every salon: the best one leaves the appointment in your calendar, booked for the right length of time with the right professional. This guide compares nine against the same criteria, with their prices in euros and their drawbacks. It is published by heydiga, which is on the list and judged by the same rules.

- Nine options, each read on its own website on 3 November 2026.
- We compare what each website publishes, not tests run by heydiga.
- Six publish their plans, two publish only a “from” price or a partial price, and one publishes no price.
- Every option has a drawback, heydiga included.
What criteria are used to compare AI receptionists for a salon?
Five, chosen for what matters in a hair salon or a beauty salon.
- Channels. Whether it answers the phone, WhatsApp or both.
- Books into your calendar. Whether it writes the appointment in, or only takes the request for someone to confirm.
- Your software. Whether it works on top of the software you already use, without you having to change it.
- Public price. How much it costs a month in euros and what is included. If the price isn't published, we say so.
- What it does when it doesn't know. Whether it passes the call to a person or leaves a message. We only count what each page says; where it says nothing, we point that out.
There is no score and no ranking: the order would depend on weightings that are yours to set. The options are listed in alphabetical order.
Which AI receptionists do AI answers cite in Spain for a salon?
Omnia measures which pages AI answers cite. From 20 October to 3 November 2026 it measured them for this question: “What is the best AI receptionist for a beauty salon or hair salon?” It recorded 494 citations across 132 cited pages.
There is one selection criterion. Product pages with 10 or more citations between 20 October and 3 November 2026 are in. They also have a Spanish-language page for salons that can be read today. By number of citations, they are CitaFlow (47), ClaudIA (40), Hanc.AI (27), Solwees (21), Repplia (14), Meetra (14), Delvia (10) and Orbanya (10).
Of those with 10 or more citations, these are left out. Triviat (10) returned an error when we tried to read its page today. Zenoti (14) gets most of its citations from a post on its blog. Founderz (22), appyweb (11), Replanapp (10) and CloudTalk (10) are cited through articles or guides, not through a product page. The Koibox (13) and DunaSoft (40) pages are integrations, not rival products, and are covered further down. Habla (7), GlowPilot (7), HairAI (9) and Bookio (5) have fewer than 10 citations.

What does each one offer, and what is its drawback?
This is what each one says about itself, in summary.

CitaFlow
It is mainly booking software for hair salons: calendar, appointments and client records in one system. On top of that it adds a voice assistant and a WhatsApp and Telegram chat. It syncs with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and iCal.
- When it doesn't know: the chat asks for human approval when it is unsure; on the phone it can redirect the call to a person.
- Price: the page shows no amounts in euros. It offers a 7-day free trial with no card.
- Drawback: the voice receptionist and the chat are separate modules added to the starter plan, which only includes online booking. The page doesn't say how much each one costs.
ClaudIA
It is an assistant for hair salons, barbershops and beauty salons that handles WhatsApp, Instagram and calls, and books into the salon's calendar. It checks real availability, offers a time with the right professional and handles changes, cancellations and a waiting list. It is one of ClaudIA Tech's four sector-specific products.
- When it doesn't know: on WhatsApp and Instagram it pauses the conversation and alerts the salon's phone with the reason; on a call it marks it “pending call-back”. The website doesn't describe what it does with a question it can't answer.
- Price: Esencial €59 a month, without phone; Pro €119 a month, with phone, till and stock; Pro XL €199 a month. Plus VAT. First month free, with no card, no lock-in and no sign-up fee.
- Drawback: the phone only comes with the €119-a-month plan. The website says the voice volume included has a cap, but not what it is.
Delvia
It is software for beauty salons with an AI receptionist that handles WhatsApp, voice calls and website chat 24/7. It checks the free slots in your calendar in real time, checks that the specialist, the room and the machine are available before confirming, and books on the spot.
- When it doesn't know: if the query is complex or medical, it recognises its limit and passes the conversation to the team's inbox. Its page doesn't say what it does with other questions it can't answer.
- Price: Esencial €79 a month, with AI WhatsApp and reminders; Pro €129 a month; Premium €179 a month. Pro and Premium are adjusted according to rooms and appointments. No lock-in and no setup costs. The page states neither VAT nor minutes. It has a free trial button, with no length given.
- Drawback: it names no booking software and doesn't say which plan includes voice calls or with how many minutes. You need to load your prices, packages and pre-treatment instructions into it.
Hanc.AI
It answers the salon's phone day and night. It advises new clients on which treatment suits them. It explains any preparation beforehand, such as the allergy test before colour. It offers slots of the right length and notes the client's preferences. It produces a transcript and a summary of every call.
- When it doesn't know: it only gives the guidance the salon approves; it passes urgent, non-standard or sensitive cases to a person.
- Price: Starter €49 a month with €50 of call credit, about 333 minutes and 2 calls at once; Pro €99 a month; Business €249 a month. 14-day trial with €5 of credit, card required. The page doesn't say whether VAT is included.
- Drawback: it books into Google Calendar or Outlook. Salon booking software connects via API or webhooks. Without that connection, it takes the request and emails the team so that someone can confirm it. It doesn't handle WhatsApp for salons.
heydiga
heydiga answers the salon's calls and WhatsApp in a natural voice with the same assistant, and books, changes and cancels appointments in your calendar. The AI receptionist from digalook works out how long the service really takes before giving the appointment, books by professional and respects each one's working hours and days off. In a beauty salon it answers while the treatment room is busy and handles couples' bookings and packages.
- When it doesn't know: it says so and transfers the call. “heydiga does not improvise: it never makes up a price, an opening time or an appointment.” It introduces itself as a virtual assistant from the very start.
- Price: Diga Lite €49 a month with 200 minutes; Diga Start €99 a month with 500; Diga Growth €169 a month with 900; Diga Pro €279 a month from 1,500. Excluding VAT, with no lock-in. Conversational WhatsApp is a €39-a-month add-on.
- Drawbacks: the pricing page doesn't publish the price of an extra minute; heydiga doesn't cut calls off and warns you before you reach the limit. The Diga Start description says “Connected to your software”: check from which plan yours is included. Only Diga Lite has a “Start free” button; for the other plans you book a demo. And it doesn't replace a booking app: it answers and writes into the same calendar.
Meetra
It is software that manages a salon's appointments over WhatsApp: the client books by chatting with an AI, which checks the calendar and confirms the appointment. It sends reminders and asks for a Google Maps review after the visit. It is designed for beauty salons, nail salons and hair removal centres.
- When it doesn't know: its page doesn't describe this and doesn't mention handing over to a person.
- Price: Recordatorios €19.99 a month, Profesional €29.99 a month and Empresa €39.99 a month, VAT included. No lock-in and no trial period; it offers a 3-minute demo.
- Drawback: it only handles WhatsApp, not the phone, and its page mentions neither hair salons nor integrations with other software.
Orbanya
It is an AI receptionist for hair salons and barbershops that answers calls, schedules appointments, confirms bookings and sends reminders. It is set up with each salon's services, opening hours and booking rules. It includes its own online booking portal.
- When it doesn't know: it asks the client to clarify and, if it is still unclear, takes a note and flags the case for human review.
- Price: Essential €199 a month with 300 minutes; Pro €299 a month with 500. Plus VAT, with no annual commitment. An extra minute costs €0.55 plus VAT, or €49 plus VAT for a 100-minute pack. It doesn't mention a free trial.
- Drawback: of those that publish a price, its cheapest plan (€199 a month) is the most expensive of the entry plans. It also charges €149 plus VAT for setup, which is included in the quarterly plan. The page only talks about “compatible calendars” and an API, without naming any software, and doesn't list WhatsApp as a channel of the product.
Repplia
It answers calls and WhatsApp messages 24/7. It books, changes and cancels appointments with the right stylist, keeping each stylist's availability separate. It is set up with your menu of services and prices.
- When it doesn't know: it transfers the call to the stylist or the manager when the client asks or when it detects that it is needed. It doesn't say what it does with a question it can't answer.
- Price: from €59 a month, with no detail on minutes or VAT. 15-day trial, no card.
- Drawback: it only says that it “connects to your calendar”, without naming any software.
Solwees
It handles calls, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Messenger and website chat, and books into the salon's booking system with the stylist the client asks for. It takes the length of each service from the system: a three-hour colour is only offered where there are three free hours in a row. It names Altegio, Booksy, Fresha, Treatwell, Bokadirekt, Bookio and Wix Bookings, and says it connects others on request.
- When it doesn't know: its page doesn't describe a general behaviour. In chat it alerts the administrator with a summary; a call goes through to the team's mobile app and, if nobody picks up, a manager calls back. You can create rules, for example to send prices that depend on hair length to a stylist.
- Price: Solo plan €99 a month per salon, with chats and up to 400 active clients a month. Calls are added with the Studio plan, €249 a month, or with a 100-minute pack for €39. Reminders are a separate module, €19 a month per location. The page doesn't say whether VAT is included. 7-day free trial.
- Drawback: calls aren't included in the €99-a-month price, and reminders are bought separately. None of the booking systems it names is Koibox.
Which one suits your salon?
It depends on where your calendar lives today and on what you want the call to achieve.
| If what you need is… | Look first at |
|---|---|
| Keeping your software (Booksy, Treatwell or Koibox) and having appointments written into it by phone and WhatsApp | heydiga; Solwees if your software is Booksy or Treatwell |
| Advising new clients over the phone on which treatment to ask for | Hanc.AI |
| Online booking and client records in the same software as the receptionist | CitaFlow or ClaudIA |
| Till and stock in the same tool | ClaudIA, Pro plan |
| Handling Instagram and Messenger as well | Solwees or ClaudIA |
| WhatsApp only, at a low price, in a beauty salon | Meetra |
| Handling WhatsApp and calls while respecting rooms and machines in a beauty salon | Delvia |
| Phone only, with a fixed price and minutes included | Orbanya or Hanc.AI, working out the cost of extra minutes |
Always ask for two things before you pay: a test call with your real services, and the cost of a busy month, not a normal one.

How do you test one with a salon's real appointments?
With your calendar and made-up details, run the same test on every option. A good demo ends with an appointment saved correctly or with a request marked as pending.
| Case | What should happen |
|---|---|
| A client asks for a colour | It looks for a slot that fits the service's real length |
| She asks for a specific professional or room | The calendar respects that availability |
| She wants to change or cancel | The change ends up in your calendar, not in a note |
| She asks about a price that has changed | It checks your current price list or transfers the call |
| She asks to speak to a person | The call is transferred, or a message is left with the context |
| The calendar doesn't respond | The appointment stays pending and it alerts you; it doesn't treat it as done |
Note how each case ends: completed, pending, handed to the team or unavailable. That difference matters more than a list of features.

What if you already use Koibox or DunaSoft?
Then heydiga's AI receptionist works on top of your software, and there is no need to compare it with the options above. heydiga's page on Koibox is headed “Koibox, now on the phone too”: digalook books appointments and checks the client's record, with her history, packages and outstanding sessions. The page on DunaSoft says that “DunaSoft's AI Assistant is heydiga”. You sign up for it through DunaSoft, which switches it on as an add-on to Style, and your calendar stays as it is. In both cases, the software is still what runs the salon.
Where heydiga fits
It fits if you want to keep your software and have the call end in an appointment booked into it. The AI receptionist from digalook works with Booksy, Treatwell and Koibox, and with 25 other tools listed on the integrations page.
Nothing to install, no change of software and no change of number: you divert your phone and heydiga starts answering. If it isn't the right fit, use the table above: the criteria are the same.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI receptionist for a hair salon?
It depends on your calendar. If you already use booking software, choose the one that writes into it; if you don't use any, look at the ones that come with their own calendar, such as ClaudIA or CitaFlow. Only compare prices once you know this.
Do I have to change my number or my booking software?
Not with heydiga: the salon keeps its number and its software, and if it doesn't use any, heydiga offers it one. With the others, ask before you sign up: some, such as CitaFlow or ClaudIA, work on their own calendar.
What happens if I go over my minutes?
It depends on the option. heydiga doesn't cut calls off and warns you before you reach the limit, but it doesn't publish the price of an extra minute. Orbanya charges €0.55 plus VAT per extra minute, or €49 plus VAT for every 100 minutes. Hanc.AI charges €0.15 a minute from the credit on Starter.
Can callers tell they are talking to an AI?
Callers should know. heydiga's AI receptionist introduces itself as a virtual assistant from the very start. With the others, ask to see it in the demo.
Does it replace my receptionist?
No. It takes the repetitive calls and the ones that come in when nobody can pick up. Anything that needs judgement goes to your team.
