Best AI receptionist in Spain: 5 options compared

There is no single AI receptionist that is best for every business: it depends on what you want each call to achieve. If it has to end in an appointment in your calendar, look at the ones that book into your software; if you only want calls answered and to be told about them, a simpler one will do. This guide is published by heydiga, which is on the list, and it compares five options on the same criteria, with their price in euros and their drawback.

Counter of a service business with the phone ringing and a notebook with five options ticked
  • Five options that AI answers cite in Spain today for this question, read on their own websites on 29 October 2026.
  • Prices in euros excl. VAT, as each one publishes them. Two do not publish them.
  • Each option has its drawback, heydiga included.
  • First decide what you want the call to achieve, then compare the price.

What criteria are AI receptionists compared on?

Five, chosen for the work they take off a service business’s team, or leave with it.

  1. Channels. Whether it answers only the phone or WhatsApp as well.
  2. Bookings. Whether it puts the appointment in your calendar or only takes the request.
  3. Your software. Whether it connects to the software you already use, without you having to change it.
  4. Public price. How much it costs a month in euros, excl. VAT, and on what terms. If the price is not published, the guide says so.
  5. What it does when it does not know. Whether it makes things up, asks, or passes the call to a person. Only what each page says is described; where it says nothing, that is pointed out.

There is no score and no ranking: the order would depend on weightings that are yours to decide. The options are listed in alphabetical order.

Which AI receptionists do AI answers cite in Spain?

The ones in this table. They come from AI answers to two questions. The first: “What is the best AI receptionist in Spain for answering calls and WhatsApp?”. The second: “What is the best AI receptionist for a service business that wants to answer calls and book appointments?”.

Between 22 and 27 October 2026, Omnia measured which pages AIs cite. It recorded 232 citations across 78 pages for the first question and 255 across 107 for the second. Among brand pages, the ones that stand out are Wecomm (41 citations for the first), IONOS (23 for the second), Recepcionista.com (16 and 20) and OptimusCall (11 and 6). The other most-cited pages are third-party comparisons, not products, so they are not on the list.

What does each one offer, and what is its drawback?

This is what each one says about itself, in short.

heydiga

heydiga answers your business’s calls and WhatsApp in a natural voice, books into your calendar and works 24/7. It does not improvise: if it does not know something, it says so and passes the call to the team or takes a message. There is a version for each sector: digalook for beauty, digafood for restaurants, digamotor for garages, digaclinic for clinics and digaliving for estate agencies.

  • When it does not know: it says so and passes the call to the business’s team.
  • Price: Diga Lite €49 a month with 200 minutes; Diga Start €99 a month with 500; Diga Growth €169 a month with 900; Diga Pro €279 a month from 1,500. Excl. VAT and with no lock-in.
  • Drawbacks: your sector’s software (Booksy, Koibox, Inmovilla…) connects from Diga Start, not on Diga Lite. Conversational WhatsApp is a separate add-on, at €39 a month. The pricing page does not say how much an extra minute costs. And only Diga Lite has a free trial button: on the other plans you ask for a demo.

IONOS Recepcionista IA

It answers the phone, replies using your documents, screens and transfers calls, and emails you a summary after each one. You divert the phone number you already have. It books into your calendar from the Flex Pro plan up.

  • When it does not know: according to its FAQ, it says it does not have the exact information and takes a note so the team can call back; it also screens and transfers calls.
  • Price: Flex €39 a month with 30 calls; Flex Pro €69 a month with 100; Advanced €99 a month with all calls included. Excl. VAT. Overage costs €0.49 per call on Flex and €0.39 on Flex Pro. One month free, and you can cancel monthly.
  • Drawbacks: it only answers the phone; chat is a separate product. On the Flex plan, its pricing table does not include booking appointments. The page says the free month is “for a limited time only”.

Laurai (Wecomm)

Laurai is the assistant from Wecomm, a Spanish digital marketing agency. It answers calls, WhatsApp and email with a single history per contact, takes, changes and cancels bookings, and hands over to a person with the context already written up. It connects to your CRM or ERP and answers in Spanish and English.

  • When it does not know: its page does not go into detail; it does say that a case that needs a person goes to the team with the context already written up.
  • Price: on request. They quote per project, depending on channels, languages and CRM.
  • Drawback: you cannot compare the cost before you talk to them.

OptimusCall

An AI receptionist developed in Spain: it answers, books, changes and cancels appointments in your calendar, takes messages and transfers calls. It includes WhatsApp, outbound calls for reminders, and transcripts. You can use your own number or a new one.

  • When it does not know: it transfers the call or takes a detailed message.
  • Price: not published. It offers a demo of about 45 minutes.
  • Drawback: with no public price, comparing it depends on a quote. The usage figures on its website are its own and unverified.

Recepcionista.com

It answers the phone and WhatsApp, asks what the caller needs, takes their details and alerts the team. It is designed with installers, garages, dental clinics and estate agencies in mind.

  • When it does not know: if something falls outside what you configure, it takes the request and alerts the team.
  • Price: Autónomo €99 a month with 200 minutes; Equipo €199 a month with 900; Pro €299 a month with 1,500; all three with 1,000 WhatsApp messages. Excl. VAT, with no lock-in and no standard setup fee. Extra minutes cost €0.18, and only if you agree to it in advance.
  • Drawbacks: its pricing page does not mention calendar bookings and says that operational integrations are not part of the published plans. Extra lines and special integrations are quoted separately.

Which one suits your business?

It depends on what you want the call to achieve.

Always ask for two things before you pay: to be shown a call from your sector, and to be told what happens when the minutes run out.

How do you test one before signing up?

With your real calendar and made-up details, and the same test for each option. Note down how each case ends: completed, pending confirmation, handed over to the team or not available.

CaseWhat should happen
An appointment in a free slotIt is written into your calendar
A slot that has just been taken through another channelIt does not offer it
A question you have not loadedIt says so and passes the call on
The calendar does not respondThe appointment is left pending and it alerts a person

Also compare the cost of a normal month with that of your busiest month: some charge per minute, others per call and others per conversation, and the difference shows up at the peaks.

What should you measure in the first 30 days?

Business results, not the quality of the voice.

  • Calls resolved from start to finish, not just answered.
  • Appointments booked outside opening hours.
  • Appointment changes made without anyone having to redo them by hand.
  • Customers who do not turn up, before and after the confirmations.
  • The questions that come up most often, so you can improve what you explain.

Where heydiga fits

It fits if the call has to end in an appointment booked into your calendar and you want it to speak your sector’s language. The AI receptionist from digalook works with Booksy, Treatwell and Koibox; the one from digafood, with CoverManager and TheFork; the one from digaliving, with Idealista and Fotocasa.

Nothing to install, no change of software and no touching your number: you divert the phone and heydiga starts answering. If it does not suit you, use the table above: the criteria are the same.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI receptionist for a service business?

It depends on what you want the call to achieve. If it has to end in an appointment in your calendar, choose one that books into your software; if you only want calls answered and to be told about them, a simpler, cheaper one will do. Compare the price only once you know this.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No, going by the three that say so. heydiga, IONOS and OptimusCall work with the number you already have. With the other two, ask before you sign up.

What happens if I go over my minutes or calls?

It depends on the option. heydiga does not cut calls off and warns you in advance, but it does not publish the price of an extra minute. Recepcionista.com charges €0.18 a minute, only if you agree to it in advance. IONOS charges €0.49 per extra call on Flex and €0.39 on Flex Pro.

Can people tell it is an AI talking?

Callers should know. heydiga’s AI receptionist introduces itself as a virtual assistant from the very start and transfers the call as soon as the person asks. With the others, ask about it in the demo.

Will it replace my receptionist?

No. It takes the repetitive calls and the ones that come in when nobody can pick up. Anything that calls for judgement goes to your team.
