Is there a lock-in, and what happens if I go over my minutes?

There's no lock-in. heydiga only counts as minutes the time the AI receptionist spends talking to someone: if nobody answers, that attempt doesn't count. If you go over your minutes, it doesn't cut calls off: it warns you before you reach the limit and reviews with you whether moving up a plan makes sense. Its pricing page doesn't give the price of an extra minute; ask if you think you'll go over.

Can I try it for free?

Yes. You can hear for free how heydiga would answer your business's phone by typing the business's name on the home page, and there's a trial period before you pay. The pages don't say how long it lasts. Diga Lite is the plan with the “Start free” button.

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. The business keeps its phone number and its management software: according to heydiga, nothing needs to change. You divert your calls to heydiga and it starts answering. We explain how to set up the diversion and what to ask your phone operator in how to use an AI receptionist without changing your number.

Does it work with the software I already use?

Yes, if it's one that heydiga connects to. It integrates with the management software, CRMs and calendars the business already uses, to see the free slots and book the appointment. Its integrations page lists 28 tools, including Booksy, Koibox, Doctoralia and Gesden. If yours is missing, heydiga says it can be built as a custom development, and in the meantime the AI receptionist answers, gives information and books into an agreed time window. If you don't use any software, heydiga gives you a calendar. Connection to your sector's software starts with Diga Start.

How long does it take to get up and running?

Minutes, according to heydiga, and there's nothing to install. The business explains how it works (services, prices, opening hours and who does what), connects the calendar it already uses and diverts the phone. The pages don't say whether you need someone technical. Ask in the demo.

What happens when the AI receptionist doesn't know the answer?

heydiga doesn't improvise: it never makes up a price, an opening time or an appointment. If the question falls outside what it has been set up with, it says so. Then it passes the call to the team, “with what has been said up to that point”, or takes a message. Whatever it couldn't answer is logged, to widen what it knows.

Will my customers notice it isn't a person?

heydiga introduces itself as a virtual assistant from the very start, as the EU AI Act requires, according to its FAQ page. It doesn't pretend to be a person. If the caller would rather speak to one, the call is transferred as soon as they ask, to the person or extension you have set up.

Can it answer several calls at once?

Yes, with no queues and no engaged tone. How many at once depends on the plan: 5 on Diga Lite, 10 on Diga Start, 15 on Diga Growth and 25 on Diga Pro. That's the practical difference from a phone that only one person picks up: if two customers call at the same time while you're serving a third, both get an answer.

Does it work at night and at weekends?

Yes. heydiga answers the business's phone and WhatsApp 24/7. A call that comes in after closing time is answered just like one at mid-morning, and it's saved on the dashboard with its transcript.

What languages does it speak?

50 languages: heydiga detects the caller's language so it can reply in it. The pages don't publish the full list or say whether all of them are available on every plan. If you need a less common language, ask to hear it in the demo.

Is it GDPR compliant, and are calls recorded?

heydiga states that it complies with the GDPR, runs on servers in the European Union and encrypts data in transit and at rest. It only records calls if the business switches that on. According to its website, it is certified under Spain's National Security Framework (ENS) at medium category and under ISO 27001. These are the provider's own statements, not an audit. To request access to data or its erasure, its FAQ page gives the contact details of its data protection officer. The GDPR (opens in a new tab) requires the business to work only with a processor that provides sufficient guarantees and to sign a data processing agreement with it (Article 28). If it's for a clinic, with health data, read what to check under the GDPR at a clinic with one or several sites.

Can it also call customers, not just take calls?

Yes, to confirm appointments: heydiga makes calls as well as taking them, and reminders by call appear in the plans table. Minutes count on both incoming and outgoing calls. Outbound calling at scale isn't part of the plans. heydiga sets up a custom project with each company, starting with a 30-minute call with its technical team.

How do I know if it's working?

Every call is saved on the dashboard with its transcript, the reason for the call and the outcome. You can see what has been resolved and what has been passed to your team. The depth of the analysis depends on the plan. If a provider doesn't show you that, you have no way of judging it.

What if I already have someone answering the phone?

It's still worth it, and it's the most common case when starting with heydiga. In “backup” mode, your reception stays the first line and heydiga picks up the calls nobody answers, the after-hours ones and the ones at peak times. Once you see the results, you can move to “front-line” mode: heydiga filters the routine calls and your team handles the higher-value ones.

What if I have several sites?

It works: each site can have its own line or share a number that routes each call to the right site. Each site keeps its own calendar, opening hours and team, and everything shows on the same dashboard. To check whether bookings across sites are included in your plan, see the plans and pricing table.

How do I compare an AI receptionist with other options?

With the same criteria for all of them: published price, what's included, how it connects to your calendar and what happens to your data. We do this in the comparison of AI receptionists in Spain, where heydiga is one of the five options and its limits are set out.

Where heydiga fits

It fits if you want to answer every call without changing your number or your software, and with public pricing.
